Love You Forever
In the evening of January 25, 2019, our family lost two of our three precious children. They were Elijah Benaiah Chavez and NorahLynn Gracie Chavez.
On that night, while driving in our family SUV, our family of five was hit on the side by a sports car traveling between 98 miles per hour. The other driver was trying to beat the yellow light.
Elijah is the eldest of the three and our only son. He is a truly gifted and talented young boy. His love for learning, illustrating, reading, music, and all things history could never be satiated. He was a light in this world, socially-beckoning others with his smile and kind-hearted words. No matter the situation, he always had a smile.
NorahLynn is our youngest of our three children, but the boldest. She is a free spirit. She feared almost nothing. She questioned everything, and her love for nature and all things outdoors led her on many adventures. She spoke of how brave she was and challenged her mother to be brave as well. She had a way of looking right through people with her big, beautiful, brown eyes, as if she understood your thoughts and could read what was on your heart. She is our beautiful daughter, full of joy and without fear.
We believe we will see them again one day. Our hope is this online memorial becomes a meaningful way to share our children with the rest of the world.
I started this memorial in September of 2020. There are so many words, pictures, and videos we want to share with you. We will slowly post them over time here. We are thankful that you are willing to remember these beautiful children of ours with us.
As we continue to post, we welcome you to join us in remembering them. We invite you to know that they are waiting for us by Yeshua’ side, in that Eternal Place.
Yeshua said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
Marta answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
Yeshua said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
